The Bachelor’s in Sports Management major prepares graduates for roles in athletic administration, sport and recreational facility management, and coaching and event management. This program is a collaborative major between the School of Business and Department of Physical Education.
Through our Sports Management program, you also have the opportunity to minor in Sports Coaching or Sports Management. The Sports Coaching minor can help you learn the skills to coach athletics in a variety of settings, including interscholastic, community, college level, and youth organizations. Whether you want to be an assistant coach, help design sporting programs or lead a team to the championship, this minor can help you develop the leadership abilities to succeed.
The Sports Management minor is designed to help students learn how to properly manage sports facilities and navigate the legal issues that are relevant to professional, amateur and community organizations. Courses will also help students understand important topics, such as first aid, facility management, and sport in American culture.
